Cornwall Council is publishing the draft Pre-Submission Climate Emergency DPD for a statutory6-week consultation period between 26 February and 5pm on 16 April 2021. This third stage of consultation gives a final opportunity to comment on the Policies that have been developed during this process, before the DPD is submitted to the Secretary of State for independent examination.
The DPD is accompanied by a Sustainability Appraisal, Habitat Regulations Assessment and policies map alongside other evidence reports. The proposed DPD contains policies to help ensure that planning decisions consider and respond to the challenges of climate change.
We are asking for your comments on the above documents in order to understand your final thoughts on the proposed policies in the Climate Emergency DPD prior to its submission to the Secretary of State for examination in public. Once adopted, the Climate Emergency DPD will sit alongside the Cornwall Local Plan: Strategic Policies and other DPDs and will be used for decision making on development proposals.
