Cornwall Council is now seeking views from the Parish Council as part of the formal consultation process regarding the existing
restrictions. TheCouncil is proposing to renew these orders in their current format. We are however seeking your views on this and if you would like any changes. We willbe reporting back to CC by August 23rd 2023.
There are 4 orders which are in force across Cornwall for renewal:-
Dog Fouling – This order currently makes it an offence for aperson in charge of a dog not to
clear up after them in any public space.
Dog Exclusion Order – This makes it an offence to take a dog into an excluded area.
Dogs on Leads – This makes it an offence not to have a dog on a lead in certain prescribed
Dogs on Leads by direction – This gives the ability for an authorised officer to require a dog
to be put on a lead should it be causing a nuisance.
Breach of any of these orders may result in a £100 Fixed Penalty Notice or a maximum of a
